Good hardback book - makes it easier when cooking for standing it up etc. Couldn't wait for a book after the BBC program although it doesn't cover all recipes on it, it has more and better ones.

Gives explanations and reasons for recipes and not just a step by step guide which helps improve your cooking without cook books.

Only bad thing is a have a electric cooker and you really need a wok for most of the dishes!

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Amazingly simple

I have just started cooking (uni days blah) and this cook book makes me feel like a chef! The recipes are simple, yet amazingly tasty, and there are many tips and helpful guides.

You will be amazed at how much better home made food is compared to take away!

This is an excellent cookbook. Great recipes with clear instructions and very useful extra bits such as the menu planners which tells you, for example what meals are quick and easy and which make a good dinner party menu etc.

I particularly recommend the mango chicken recipe, - it's delicious.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars real easy, real food!

As a chinese, I'm always a bit disappointed of the take away food, they are kind of weatern chinese taste. I bought this book because I want to prove my cooking skill( mom always cook at home, but she's in China, I'm in UK. Can't call all the time). I can't believe how easy and how great it is!! I tried a few dishes already, I can even get the ingredients easily from local super-market. The way He-Huang "cambo" the food is amazing! You can feel the "balance" of the food-healthy, tasty,beautiful... I can't wait to cook tonight....highly recommended. You will impressed!!!

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars You'll never go to the take-away again!

I agree with the other reviews. This is a fantastic cook book!

The recipies are fresh and exciting, the ingredients are easy to source and the steps for each recipy are easy to follow and few in number.

I cooked the Chow Mein last night and was very impressed. Every other time I have ever cooked a Chow Mein it has been bland and oily. This really was a treat, so much so that I won't be going to the Chinese take-away to get my Chow Mein anymore.

If you buy this book you will not be disappointed. It really is that good!

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Anyone to impress????

I really love this talented cook and her energy and style. I've been watching her show and enjoyed it so I thought I'd buy this book as some of her food looked so easy to make and delicious.

I love it! It is colourful, easy to follow and understand, you can really feel her energy and personality flowing from the pages and I guarantee you will be eager to dive into your kitchen and fetch your wok.

There are loads of recipes of delicious meals and snacks, people who love Chinese food will appreciate this and I think people who don't, or who don't have the confidence or time will definetly get alot from this book. I've tried a few recipes and my friends loved it so I highly recommend to any level of cook. There are so many appealing dishes I still can't wait to taste and make myself.

Enjoy - Wok On!
