This book is a nice insight into the movie with high quality pictures and concept pictures from the film itself. I just think naming it "The Art of the Dark Knight" is misleading as there is not much art featured in the book and has a previous reviewer has said the book is mostly the script although it's very interesting to read it and see what the cut out scenes were. Some good information on creating the Joker's look is featured in this book and I think it was the most interesting part. Batman fans will love this book, it's a nice easy read and gorgeous quality.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars A good look at the designs.

I bought this when I was browsing, and being a huge Batman fan, I couldn't wait for it to arrive. When it did, I immediatley read it all, and it's so interesting. The book contains some of the original concept art and designs for the Joker, some of which were better than what was actually used. It also contains information on how the Jokers make-up was applied, which was very interesting. It gives you a good insight as to creating Two-Face, as well as the new Batsuit and Tumbler. As an additional bonus, the book also contains the original script, which once reading, shows you more than what was on screen. You get to see what some of the deleted scenes were, as well as see where the cast improvised. I highly recommend this, it's sheer brilliance.
