Batman Begins: In the wake of his parents' murder, disillusioned industrial heir Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) travels the world seeking the means to fight injustice and turn fear against those who prey on the fearful. He returns to Gotham and, with the help of trusted butler Alfred (a scene-stealing Michael Caine) unveils his alter-ego: Batman is a masked crusader who will use strength, intellect and an array of high tech deceptions to fight the sinister forces that threaten the city...
Director Christopher Nolan deliberately exorcises the camp and grand guignol of the previous movies and TV series. This is truly a gritty and brooding exploration of the beginnings of the Dark Knight, a faithful vision of Bob Kane's anti-hero from DC Comics.
Batman: Gotham Knight: Bridging the gap between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, and directed by Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series), Batman: Gotham Knight taps into the work of three, pioneering anime studios (Production I.G., Studio 4C, and Madhouse) and five noted anime directors (Shojiro Nishimi, Futoshi Higashide, Hiroshi Morioka, Yasuhiro Aoki, and Toshiyuki Kubooka) to create a thrilling anthology of six interrelated, animated shorts based on stories by Josh Olson (A History of Violence), David S. Goyer (Batman Begins), Alan Burnett (Batman: The Animated Series), Greg Rucka (Whiteout), Jordan Goldberg (The Dark Knight), and Brian Azzarello (100 Bullets).

This boxset is great with the first new batman movie installment which is great due to superb acting, casting, storyline and action sequences. Gotham knight is interesting - its not what you'd expect but is still good and brings back badies such as scarecrow, killercroc and deadshot with intriguing storylines and great action sequences. The animation is good (japanese cartoon style) and the voice for batman in the animated series returns to this role. The only problem wit Gotham knight is that my freind got his the same day as me but he only got gotham individually and his came with a 'pamphlet' letting you know about the characters, etc, and it isnt included in this package which is a shame but apart from that this boxset is great (especially for the price). Btw it's Batman Begins that contains the second disc.

Batman Begins is an excellent reimaging of the Batman franchise.
Darker, meaner and funnier than all that have gone before it.
Gotham Knight is a brilliant series of shorts. 6 10minute or so long episodes directed by some of the greatest manga and anime directors out there, with the splots written by some great screenplay writers.
Well worth checking out.
