The dreaded Firmware Update

Firstly don't get me wrong, this is an awesome blu-ray player. The player itself looks smart and the picture quality it provides is spot on.
However, there are soo many blu-ray films that don't play on the player, especially newer films. This can be resloved by phoning Samsung directly on 0845 7267864. They will send a firmware disc for you to insert in your player, although be aware i've now had my 4th disc sent from them and none of them include any instructions, so you have no idea what to do with the disc. More of a grumble against the customer service dept than the actual player though.
Value for money wise though, the player is worth every penny!!!

This player is a great buy for the price, crystal clear pictures and sound are awesome. It has played every blu ray disc for me so far and every normal dvd....which this player upscales the picture of superbly. My only complaint is that the loading times are too slow but i guess thats just me being impatient. I inserted a blu ray and after a minute or so a loading bar appeared to which i was waiting another couple of minutes just to reach the dvd menu,
Also if u put your player on pause you have about 4-5mins to press play otherwise the blu ray restarts and you are back to square one in loading up the dvd menu. If you are a patient person then this is the player for you. I would have given the full 5 stars if not for the loading times.

This is my first blu-ray dvd player and i bought it to go with my new samsung 6 series tv im in amazment its fantastic the picture is great the lighting on the player is sparse yet suppurb the sound while the disc is spinning well i cant hear any that you'd consider complaining about the ample connections at the back of the machine are in the right place not all over the place very tidy has points at the back to connect speckers up too i connected mine up to the net and it upgraded straight away and has played every disc i have thrown at it np every person who's seen this at my home has asked where can they get one as for the money and the features thats packed into this machine i belive you cant buy better thank you samsung for making this and thank you play.com for selling it you will kick you're self if you dont buy this player and spend more for less a+++++++++++
