Every year the Madden series gets better. Very enjoyable whether you play your mates on the AI. A must have for any NFL fan.

I do enjoy playing madden games be it online or with friends and the online features on this game are amazing and the roster updates are very useful other than that though the game is pretty much the same as the other years the virtual trainer needs to be completely redone as it is not impressive at all

What happened EA!. Madden used to be the greatest sports game, but the gameplay has been changed completly. Graphics are good, but gameplay is rubbish. Don't buy. EA listen up if it aint broke dont fix it.

I've enjoyed this game a lot however there are several problems which are a real pain. Firstly in Franchise mode when the computer chooses to "move franchise" they are called e.g. "Las Vegas Atomic" but have a hawk as their logo. That is a minor irritation, however the game also crashed everytime I played away to one of the new franchises.
I enjoy it and it is a must for NFL fans but it could be better.

Madden rocks every year and I like this years editon even better. The online play makes this game top notch. Well done, EA.

There are some good points and there are some bad points,
First, graphics are great, huge selection of plays and franchise is fantastic. The idea of rewinds is good.
But, the bad points are the idea of first sports game that adapts to you isn't that good, online leagues aren't as good as they make it sound and gameplay is terrible. When u are on the defence it is so boring, really hard to sack and make them fumble. They can kick nearly any yard field goal, on the offence they intercept your passes very easily and get to your quaterback very easily.
Field goals are hard and running u usually only get 2-5 yards if u go down the middle.
Me personily am going to stick with fifa 09. Much better game

Another great Madden game from EA. I have bought the last 4 Maddens now and they just improve each year. Madden dont seem to take anything away each year which means the just add and improve to what they have already got.

The Madden test feature makes the game very fair as it tests your ability on passing, rushing and and their respective defences. This means that the AI of the game knows how good you are and adjust accordingly creating its own skill setting called "My skill"

A few people have complained about glitches in the game???
I have had the game for around 2 weeks and mine hasnt gone wrong yet. Maybe i've just been a bit lucky so far but i have had no problems with it yet.

I love this game, if you like NFL you will love this.

It looks and plays amazing, there are some nice touches such as the training process and the soundtrack is decent. I cannot fault this game at all.

After reading the majority of the other reviews it appears that others have experienced problems/glitches. I must have been lucky cause mine is playing perfectly.

There is a update as well (if you can get your xbox on the internet) that might sort out any glitch problems. I dont know cause I haven't experienced any!

In summary; Great Game A++, just hope your copy doesnt have a glitch.

This is such an epic game, the graphics the interactions, the customized celebrations, the madden i.q., the controls; however you just cant play it!
This game has an almighty glitch. Several consumers reported freezing in the game and there was no explanation, or solution. On September 23, 2008, EA released a second patch update for Madden 2009. While press releases issued by EA suggested that the patch would resolve all freezing issues, the patch did not in fact address freezing problems associated with the game's "Franchise Mode." To date, there is no patch either available or announced to deal with the freezing problems that remain.
This could be so much more than just a 3 star game, however because of the awful glitch this is where it belongs.

Great graphics, great gameplay, great features like madden iq but the thing that makes me give it a 2 star is it breaks all the time.
You could be playing ur best match ever and suddenly the screen freezes its just a shame that your paying for a game that only half works.
