I was not a particular fan of Take That the first time around, but I bough this album on the strength of Shine, and I haven't been disappointed.
The group don't suffer in the slightest for the lack of Robbie Williams, who is in his own right an excellent solo artist. Take That as they now are, however, have matured gracefully, and acquired greater skill to capitalise on their respective individual talents.
I enjoy the album tremendously. There are stand-out tracks, which include of course the track I bought the album for (Shine, weren't you paying attention?), but the whole album is worth a listen, and reflects well on a group of young men who've lived a lot more now than they had done when last they entered the recording studio.
It's been out for a while now, and if you've considered buying this but have held back, don't do so any longer.
BRILLIANT ALBUM!

Top 100 Music Reviewer
well they reformed, and the fans remembered ( but no robbie ) they still sound pretty much as i remember, so
the decision to go ahead has proved a winner for them.
the new songs do sound pretty good, includes the '2007'
massive top ten hits.
reduced in price now, surley if you haven't allready purchased it, now's the time ( unless you just don't like thier music )
Beautiful World - wow -- what a comeback.

Loved the whole album. Even my 18 yr old daughter keeps borrowing it. I think Gary has a great voice & the other 3 compliment him well. The album is a breath of fresh air;; I hope they bring out another one soon.
Great CD

This album is such a fantasic come back, you'd have never thought they'd been away for 10 years! Unfortunately he only down side is other (less great) bands decided to have a piece of the pie again - spice girls, boyzone, east 17 to name but a few) Difference with TT is they have great talent. I was fortunate enough to go to their live show in Manchester 07 and i was blown away. They opened up with Reach Out and Beautiful World 2 of my favourites on the album. I was a fan when they 1st started and loved the early stuff, but now i'm in my mid 20's i'm loving the more rocker edge to their music. The surprise track for me was Jason's solo "Wooden Boat". It's the 1st time i've heard him on his own and think he's underated. He was very modest singing his solo in manchester and sang it beautifully, hence the crowd going wild, he got one of he biggest cheers at the end of his performance!
Also even though i got this version before they released "Rule the World" - which i think is on a updated version of this album - again what a brilliant pop song. I love these guys and hope they keep producing fabulous original material for years to come.....unlike Westlife - cover version queens!
ROCK ON TAKE THAT, RULE THE WORLD!!!!!!
