Hadn't listened to them much before i got this, haven't stopped since i got it. The scottish accent works brilliantly with this style of music. Geraldine and daddys gone are the standout songs but they are all of a high quality well worth buying.
unique

A unique and brilliant album with great but sometimes disturbing (depending on yer point of view) lyrics. Soulful and thoughtful, great new sound.

Brillant. Has to be the best debut album since Oasis' Definitely Maybe in 1994. I'm a van driver & have had this CD on repeat for the past week. People need to buy this CD.
Diverse

An album containing definitely more good than bad. If you like Britpop with a twist, it is clearly something for you.
Although there is a clear thread throughout the album and you still diversity.
There is no doubt that this band has a great future, if the prospective evolve.
Superb

It's not that I don't like Glasvegas, they just don't have tracks worthy of the hype, the singles are their high points and they don't tend to set the world on fire. If they had taken their time over this then their brand of atmospheric indie might have been worthy of more attention, as it is this isn't really worth the time, wait for the greatest hits and b-sides album in a years time.
Eh

Why people big this album up so much is beyond me!!! There is nothing inspirational here whatsoever!!! I was really excited to hear glasvegas when i heard how good they were live... But i have to say this is one of my biggest musical disappointments!!!!!!!!
Fantastic Debut

Excellent CD from a band making a big splash.
Very assured and well produced whilst still maintaining the group's glorious rough edges. Believe the hype, buy and enjoy.
Absolute classic, but one big flaw!!!

The album should have been a five out of ten for me, with songs like geraldine, it my own cheating heart that made me cry, daddy's gone, polmont on my mind and flowers and football tops. All of these track's could be contenders for song of they year. If only they didnt put stabbed on the album!! It's pretentious mush that is absolutely nothing but embarrassing and makes me cringe at the thought of listening to it. None the less, this album is a must buy for everyone out there. Just dont listen to stabbed,
incredible debut by a group ive never even heard of...
