After not being in the fold for quite a while with soulfly and really liking what i heard from CD samplers, i thought i'd give it a shot.
Brutal stuff! - Sums it all up really. tracks like Unleash, Doom, Blood, Fire, War, Hate, are all mind blowingly good! they certainly stick in the mind. i've even found myself singing away to them at inappropriate moments.
Certainly an album to buy for those that want to try something different in metal or are just getting into the general genre.
Fans new and old won't be dissapointed!

Wow. That is the first thing that I think of when faced with the new soulfly album. I am stunned by how awesome it is and by just how much I love it. It's classic Soulfly but with a totally inspired, fresh, in-your-face sound. It's got the expected tribal feel to it coupled with fabulously raw metal. My personal favourite tracks are Warmageddon and Unleash - really good tracks and great for moshing along to!
make sure you pick up the Special Edition package which has the Bonus tracks and a lovely little DVD for our viewing pleasure. Well worth a dozen quid!
Takes a few runs to get into it, after that your hooked

After 3 or 4 loops i can happily say Conquer is another excellent album, the DVD is worth the £9 alone.
Can't pick a favourite track which is always a good thing, though the cover of The Beutiful People (Manson) is worth an award by itself.
Looking forward to the Sheffield gig on the 18th August.

Listened to the album throughout, a couple of times now. Its early days yet, but my first impression was good but not amazing, dont get me wrong though, took me a while to like "prophecy" and "dark ages", from the change in type of metal, from the 1st three albums they released! But with all that said, it would be hard to live up to their previous albums, truly great!! Would still buy this album if youre a Max Cavalera fan! Plus you get a gr8 live DVD with it, a bargain!!
heavy as hell!

Top 100 Music Reviewer
Okay i agree with the reviewer its better than the dark ages album while at times sounding like a calvelera conspiracy album as the agression is lost in parts of the album but that alone shouldn't detract any merit off such a bombasticly heavy album with the tracks like "blood, fire, war and hate", "Warmageddon" to match.
soulfly/conspiracy

well, just whacked this album into my stereo, and wow! much heavier and faster than any other soulfly record. to be honest, it sounds less like soulfly and more like cavalera conspiracy. This isn't a problem as they are both tremendous bands, but if ur looking for the trditional soulfly feel, its somewhat lost in the aggression of the songs. None the less, this album is amazing and in my opinion better than 'dark ages' purchase if i like soulfly.
