Customer rating: 1 out of 5 stars Compatability Issues

cannylad | 21/09/2008 | See all cannylad's reviews (6) »

This memory module has compatability problems, it wouldn't even run on it's own correctly in my MSI board which was already running memory of the same speed before I installed it. My board is running it's latest bios updates, so no excuses. Removed the module and back running with my original 2 x 256's no problems at all. Buy branded to be on the safe side, seems like a bargain but isn't.

bought 2 of these sticks now, and although they work fine, I can only seem to get them running at 200mhz, half the stated 400mhz speed, but computers faster none the less. Good value for money

Bought one of these to upgrade an old Barton system, and in my opinion it is false economy over the branded memory that Play.com sell. The system became unstable, suffering file corruption, glitches and lockups. Cheap memory can be a bargain but be aware of the failure rate and associated incovenience.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Great Piece of kit

Had been thinking of upgrading the memory on my PC for while so after checkin out what i needed found this and ordered a pair of these for my comp. It had 512mb (2x 256mb) in it and was gettin annoyed by the slow speeds and load up times of pretty much everything.
Once they arrived got them out of the pack and into the comp, was done within 3mins no complications and the PC's running like a treat. Great buy at £16.99 a piece.
